Boys Volleyball
Program Values
At Minnesota Juniors, our boys program is built on more than just volleyball skills. We are committed to helping every athlete grow as a player, a teammate, and a person. Our first season of boys volleyball is guided by four core values:
1. Complete Development
We believe every player should learn all the skills of the game, no matter their position.
- Middles will learn to pass.
- Liberos will learn to set.
- Setters will learn to block and attack.
2. Practice for Learning
Practice is where real growth happens. Players touch the ball more in practice than they ever will in tournaments, and that's where they develop their full game.
- Practices focus on maximum reps, game-like situations, and learning all skills.
- Strength and conditioning is encouraged outside of practice, so court time stays focused on volleyball development.
3. Process Over Outcome
Winning is fun, but it’s not our measure of success. We believe the true victory is in how we play, not just the final score.
- We celebrate effort, execution, and energy.
- We learn from both wins and losses.
- We focus on competing with purpose, point by point.
4. Positive Coaching & Culture
We coach with purpose, not fear. Our athletes are motivated through encouragement, teaching, and trust.
- Feedback is constructive and focused on improvement.
- Effort, leadership, and teamwork are recognized just as much as performance.
- Athletes are supported in setting personal goals and finding their "why" in the game.
Our Commitment
The first season of Minnesota Juniors Boys Volleyball will be about more than just competition. It will be about building complete players, strong teammates, and a program rooted in respect, effort, and love for the game.
